Grant Arms

In the fine Scottish country town of Grantown on Spey, not far from the famous Spey River, lies the handsome stone built Grant Arms Hotel, which has been recently refurbished and upgraded to offer modern comforts whilst retaining a traditional character.

This Highland hotel has been welcoming guests for many a year. In fact, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert stayed here in 1860.

Since Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's visit, the Grant Arms has been impressively modernised to provide every desirable amenity while still maintaining its historically traditional charm. The hotel includes 50 ensuite bedrooms, each of which boasts tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries, a hair dryer, colour television, and direct dial telephone. You can choose between Standard, Superior, and four-poster rooms.

Grant Arms' restaurant and bar are divine. Continental Breakfasts are available for Early Birders starting at 5am, and a full Scottish Breakfast is served from 7am to 10am.

The bar offers everything from draught beers to locally brewed guest ales to an amazing selection of Speyside single malts.

Experience a holiday in the Scottish Highlands, the perfect combination of mountain scenery, ancient buildings and mysterious lochs.

Visit Aviemore, the Cairngorms mountains, Inverness, Loch Ness, the Moray Firth and Royal Deeside. Follow the trails of castles, gardens and distilleries.

The Grant Arms Hotel fosters a close relationship with the Birdwatching and Wildlife Club. All Hotel Guests are encouraged to use the Club's facilities, which include the Lecture Theatre, Club Room, and Natural History Library. The BWWC Team offers free guided walks, wildlife briefings, and regular talks that are excellent ways to learn more about the wildlife surrounding the hotel.

Play golf at the numerous nearby golf courses, including Grantown on Spey's 18 hole course. The hotel presents special golf packages, including one that leads golfers alongside Scotland's Golf Whisky Trail.
